Eliraz’s Shakshuka

Eliraz was in regular service in the Golani patrol, and then in reserves he served in the Yiftach Brigade. He was injured the week before he fell, and chose to go back inside to fight alongside his friends.
He fell in the center of the Gaza Strip on 18th Tevet 5784 (30th December 2023) aged 37. He is survived by his parents, sister and a widow.
Eliraz was a person who loved simplicity, didnt need any sophistication. He loved people, all people. He was peaceful, modest and humble.
He grew up in Tiberias, and from there moved to Eilat and worked as a diving instructor and then moved to live in central Israel. He was a man of the sea, a man of this land (Israel). He would like us to be united and understand that this land is extremely precious.

Ingredients
4 eggs
3 large tomatoes
3 crushed garlic cloves
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
A little ground chilli
1 teaspoon tomato paste
Instructions
Peel the tomatoes and mix all the ingredients together. Heat a teaspoon of oil in a pan and pour all the ingredients into the pan. Cook on low heat for 15 minutes.
Break in 4 eggs and cook with the lid on until done to your liking.
Eliraz loved Shakshuka, he was an outdoorsman who loved hikes, he could turn on a gaziya (mini grill) anywhere in the country and just make a shakshuka in nature.
