Uri’s Malabi

Uri Jerbi Z"L

Uri was always surrounded by friends, always smiling and making jokes. He was everyone's best friend, playing as a competitive tennis player and later joining the "Five Fingers" combat fitness group. Uri seized every moment in life, always pulling out a motivational phrase that gave everyone the strength to aim high. Uri served in the Givati Reconnaissance Unit as a sniper. He died of his wounds after being seriously injured in an operational activity in Khan Yunis on 18.1.24, 20 years old at the time of his death. The family decided to donate his organs. His kidney saved a 6-year-old girl, and his liver saved a six-month-old baby.

His sister recounts: Every time Uri returned home from the army, Mum would make him Malabi. She never missed it, and Uri always looked forward to coming home to eat her famous Malabi. It was the only dessert Uri loved.
